Microsoft released SQL Server 2005 Express, Oracle released Oracle Express Edition (XE) and now IBM is releasing DB2 Express-C for free. IBM knows it has to give us more than the competition, so their free version will use a second processor and there are no disk-usage limits. The only limit is the 4GB memory usage (Microsoft and Oracle will only use 1GByte). Oracle XE is still in beta, so I guess IBM’s move will have to trigger some changes?<\/p>\n
